Cheers for sending Josh the PM Guy - hit the spot perfectly.

Gadge says the PBI game he wanted to squeeze into July (that I refused to list if it went ahead) is now planned for October - because of Gadge's 'commitments'.

So, that resolves one problem but raises another - when to pitch CiA game Series 2 No 4!

Rich will be too busy wanking over some rare piece of British webbing at a reenactment event to start organising anything.

As Halloween falls on Friday this year, the weekend of 1/2 November sounds good to me for The Return to Projekt Wotan.

GMA are running Thusday, Friday and Sat night 2ww battles in the main arena after 6pm! More details to follow but it will only be £10;)

Can't help but think that's going to be an utter disaster.

I had a discussion with him at D-Day+2 about it.
He was enthusing and saying he will have all his hire uniforms there and asked what I thought.
"Err, I won't be having anything to do with it Josh"
"Oh! Why?"
"Because it will look rubbish and the reenactors are going to rip you and WW2 airsoft to shreds"
"Oh, right, that's cool - still, at the end of the day it's bums on seats. Bums on seat old lad."

I think it has the potential to undo a lot of the (grudging) respect we now have with reenactors. But hey, it is does have a fallout we must be damn sure to distance ourself from Gunman.

Total H&S nightmare. No netting to protect bystanders, pissed re-enactors. Accident waiting to happen IMHO.

**edit**

Looks like the kybosh is going to be put on this for several reasons.

1: Ai have an exclusive deal on *any* Airsoft "events" @ War & Peace
2: Rex Cadman (who runs W&P) is being appraised of the H&S risks, and the fact that Josh's insurance wont cover such an event.

Heh, I was just thinking whether we could seed a few doubts but it seems someone else is doing it.

BTW, how the hell have AI got monopoly on any airsoft events?

Because Rex is a pushover. That, and it was a condition of the CQB Arena going there to start with (for which W&P charge a sodding fortune)

Ah right, so they've got the CQB Arena and Josh is trying to get the main arena to charge the reenactors on site for a blat?

I can see why Monaf is trying to put a stop to it. All I can say is, thank god/yahweh/giant spaghetti monster in the sky!

And Paul's post:

Hi guys sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I was under the impression that this is for exhibitors only and not for the general public (As it conflicts with Ai exclusive deal with the show)
Anyway that’s what REX told me, he has asked me to post on the forum and make it quite clear that the WWII after Hours Airsoft experience in the Main arena is not open to the public and is for Exhibitors only

Err, Paul has, effectively. Josh may still carry on though and try to extract £10's from exhibitors/reenactors

Off thread a bit , I've been spending time on Joshes forum in an A2C capacity ...the one thing i've noticed is that all his bookings seem ot be US/ UK .....he's getting virtually no Germans , which echos the disparity seen at Dday+2 .....hopefully terminal .

Aye, as I said before - the one 'Operations' weekend he managed to run had just a few Allied (mostly marshals or associated) vs one German - Josh!
